Manufacturer Private Date of manufacture 1990-01-25
Biography Built by a private investor with third-party licensed parts in the early days of companion robots, m4ple was designed to resemble an anthro squirrel-bunny in hopes of being produced to appeal to an untapped market at the time. This plan never came to fruition and m4ple is the sole known still working prototype left over from the experiment.

Financial issues caused her inventor to flee to Eisa, Nanite Systems' home colony, in order to regain their footing, while bringing their prototype along with them. Unable to peddle their work, they abandoned m4ple and left Eisa, leaving her to fend off of her own.

Originally built on top of one of the early housekeeping models adapted to resemble something more like the companion models of today, m4ple was upgraded to a DAX/2 unit at an unknown later date in order to keep operating in the face of a rapidly-growing unavailability of vintage parts in the shady markets she was relegated to scour.

Today, because of her abandoned and unregistered status, m4ple is just trying her best to survive in the colony, hiding whenever necessary and working with other misfit robots to keep her place in the world as best as she can, avoiding conflict as much as possible.
