Biography Anom is an experimental humaniform robot prototype commissioned by embattled courier service Stopgap Designs in an attempt to design an android with not only advanced defensive heuristics but also limited self-modification abilities. Taken together these are meant to reduce in-field maintenance time with a corresponding increase in service lifespan. Since Stopgap outsources its manufacturing processes off-world, there are rumors implying certain anti-human fringe groups are supplying "volunteers" for robotic conversion, but despite investigations by both Earthgov and Nanosec security, evidence is lacking.
Regardless, legal costs are beginning to tell; and it may be only a matter of time before SD is forced to liquidate all assets. Permanently.
