Reason for immigrating Research and AI Development Biography Manufactured in Tokyo, the Experimental Data Exploration Network started as an AI created by Nobuyuki Idabashi.  The AI's purpose was to learn and explore data regarding those who used it, and generate an appropriate companion profile for each user. Upon further development and testing of the AI, Professor Idabashi decided to run experiments with the AI in a physical form, thus developing a chassis for it using Nanite Systems. Eden, as she's colloquially called, only has one purpose now that she is in a physical form: learn, socialize, and grow.

Once the AI was put inside a chassis, Eden's memory was reset, clearing the slate to begin anew. Professor Idabashi's next step was to ship the robot to Eisa, allowing her to rebuild her memory banks and learn about her new environment and the people there, while staying true to her roots as a companion AI. While Professor Idabashi has remote control over the robot when necessary, Eden's choices are her own to make.

Whether or not those choices are beneficial to her, that's another story entirely.
