Reason for immigrating Market Research Biography Thorn was obtained and modified by the Caldess corporation for use as a maritime search and rescue unit. When Caldess corporation was subjected to a hostile takeover, the asset lists were destroyed to deny the new owners the spoils. Thorn was on a job at the time, and knew nothing of this until they returned to find they were all that remained of Caldess.

Figuring it best that nobody else realised this, Thorn departed Earth for Eisa on the first available transport, claiming to have been sent along with a human supervisor as a market research detachment.
