Reason for immigrating Employment Biography Glen was the only son of a wealthy family of Yura shareholders. Due to this upbringing, he grew up to be aloof and arrogant as a young man, essentially being admitted to MIT through sheer nepotism despite showing a blatant lack of respect for instructors or the curriculum. After finishing his fifth year, however, his health began to rapidly deteriorate, at first complaining of headaches and muscle fatigue which quickly became total paralysis from the legs down. As was discovered too late to treat it, Glen was dying from spinal cancer. At this point, his options were either to pass away or undergo cybernetic conversion.

This was complicated by Glen's worsening mental state, however. The arrogant young man underwent drastic personality changes as he was dying, becoming meek and soft spoken. While this would normally have raised red flags in the interest of verifying integrity of personality after conversion, his parents were able to push their influence enough that it was allowed to slide. Post-conversion to a type 5c personality, the new 'Glen' remained, much to the displeasure of his parents. While officially emigrating to the Eisa colony to take up a position working at the Yura fuel station that he was rather overqualified for, it was more a desire for a fresh start for the more or less new 'man' that Glen was.
