Education and work history Her education history before college is hectic, scoring incredibly high marks from elementary to middle - despite in 2004 moving to La Mesa, CA, with the grades sharply dropping to below 2.0 average upon entering high school, she was unable to attend a 4-year right away.
Having attended first the community college 'City College' in San Diego to pursue degrees in both writing and programming she passed with slightly below-average marks, then transferred to San Diego State University, and graduated with the class of 2013 with slightly above average marks, earning her both a bachelors in Writing and Computer Science.
She began a startup with a few friends - Jesse Kemp, Latrell Crenshaw, Elizabeth Aragon, Antonio Gomez, and herself - in San Diego called Kemp Technologies in early 2013, after the primary person involved, Jesse Kemp. This continued for half a year before the company was bought up by the Takeda conglomerate, and while most kept their jobs within the restructured company, herself and Elizabeth were let go.
Synthetic modifications Her brain was leeched onto a Kemp Technologies implant, with a NS control system used to keep her connected to the body. Reason for immigrating Work Opportunity Biography Having a rough childhood, she was born as Blake Persson, a male in the small town of West Bishop, California, in Owens Valley in the Sierra Nevadas. She would frequently get into trouble at school and with other children, stemming from her early-onset gender dysphoria. In 2004, her and her family moved to La Mesa, CA, in order to get better opportunities for her education and future career.
Upon entering high school, she began experiencing severe depressive episodes as a result of her dysphoria, though her family was vehemently unsupportive. Upon graduation from high school, she moved out and began therapies to correct this ailment during her college years.

This continued for half a year before the company was bought up by the Takeda conglomerate, and while most kept their jobs within the restructured company, herself and Elizabeth were let go.
In late 2014 she suffered a near-fatal car crash while on the 805 in San Diego, with her friend Elizabeth. Elizabeth was killed on impact, though Kathryn's brain survived, with her body on life-support. Her previous coworkers had a family give them right of attorney, allowing them to try out an experimental surgery on Kathryn to save her life. Her brain was carefully removed and placed into a tank, and over the course of months, an experimental nanite therapy was used to transplant her consciousness and imprints of synapses into a robotic brain - or implant - created by Kemp Technologies. The outcome was a limited success. Due to the device her consciousness is now stored on, she is now unable to act against orders given to her by superiors - however she is still a completely conscious mind.
Despite this, she was not accepted into the Takeda-owned Kemp technologies, and was forced to seek other opportunities, eventually leading her to attempt to gain citizenship to Eisa colony, though she has tried her best - with a command from her friend Jesse to, "Act as human as possible," she has as-so-far hidden her technically robotic status.
