John Lapham was born on Mars in February 1974. Orphaned at a young age, Lapham grew up in the notorious slums of Hellas. To get out, in 1990 he (illegally) enlisted and did two tours with the Martian Army on a special ops team. He was severely wounded on a “black” mission but with emergency surgery, lived….as a cyborg. His brain was untouched but he awoke with an eye replaced with an ocular suite, a cyber arm and, in place of a lung, a metal tank dripping nutrients. John's skin above his waist is now covered in thin flexible ferroplast (tm) excepting above his neck .
John Lapham is officially 68% human.
Upon recovery and adaptation, he mustered out, but soon joined Braintree Solutions and then Stalin Security in Utopia.. He was involved in a number of high profile security operations but was probably best known for his work for Stalin in the infamous 2011 DogTown Riots in Hellas..
John discovered an enjoyment of bodyguard duty. His appearance was dated with his “old tech” but he was comfortable with his old hardware. Friends were made there also. He joined Stalin in 2012. It was a good fit but he wanted to travel finally. he has left for Eisa Station. with recommendations from both Braintree and Stalin.
In testing, Lapham is above average mentally, fairly well adjusted to his cybernetic implants and even keeled mentally. He is well aware that his “old” implants are met with more dislike, or, at least, distaste then if he'd upgraded the chassis to a newer cybernetic model. He also finds being a "monster" helps in questioning possible witnesses.
He hopes to find work with NanoSec or possibly security job at Eisa General Hospital
