Once enough investors had made their deposits, she was retired to storage and forgotten for nearly a decade, until the company folded and she, along with the rest of the warehouse's contents, were auctioned off.
She then spent another decade going from owner to owner on the secondhand market, serving both her original purpose and as a static display. Her last owner bought her and may other units specifically to restore to working order and then "free."
