As he grew older, he grew less and less comfortable with his body, always feeling like he was meant to be something... different. He never truly came out to those he knew, except in the furry communities he was a part of online, as he knew that only his closest friend would wholeheartedly support his lifestyle. He tried to seek jobs he loved, but he always felt socially distant from his coworkers, and was never able to hold one for a long time. When he was 28 years old, he had finally saved up the funds and the courage to undergo the surgery, his body emerging completely different. As he predicted, those around him did not embrace the change - he was "let go" from his job shortly after, and his family could never look at him with a straight face. He decided to leave and start a new life when his present one wasn't working out, using what funds he had to book a trip to Eisa and hope for the best - in space, he will soon find out whether his decision was a poor one.
